Correlation with Blitzer College Algebra 7/e

We put together a document that shows which topics in the College Algebra Corequisite Support Modules can be used with sections in Blitzer’s 7th edition of College Algebra.

  • There were a few topics that could be used in more than one section of Blitzer, and we made notes about those options.
  • In College Algebra, the corequisite material is definitely heavier near the beginning of the course. Once you are past the half-way part of your course, you can use your support time to address specific troublesome topics in the college algebra course or shift the focus the growth mindset or other student skills.
  • Some of the sections have many options for support topics, and there may be too many to cover. Pick and choose wisely. You could also combine pieces of several topics into one assignment to diagnose where your students need the most support and then focus your attention there.
  • If you are using a different college algebra text, this document could still help you to design your support course. We can also help you create a document that goes with your textbook.
